About CoderDojo

CoderDojo is a worldwide community of non-profit, volunteer-led, free computer programming clubs.

girlAt a CoderDojo, young people between 7 and 17, learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology using freely available tools such as Scratch, HTML, Javascript, Python, Rasberry Pi and more.

There is a focus on community, peer-to-peer, self-led and family learning, with an emphasis on helping others.

There are over 850 CoderDojos in 64 countries worldwide with over 30,000 kids learning to code regularly.girlheadphones

Locally the demand for CoderDojo places far exceeds supply, so with support from the organisers of CoderDojo Ham we have created a new venue in Teddington at Turing House School.

Starting in the Autumn of 2016 the Turing House CoderDojo runs once during each school term, on a Saturday afternoon.  It is open to the whole community, with activities suitable for young people who are new to coding, as well as those with more experience who would like to pick up new skills and help others to learn.
